Straw Hat

If you haven't heard, I am staying in Moorhead to work this summer and take a couple of classes. I will still be working at Kmart and the Box Office. I just thought that I'd let you all know of some of the plays that we are putting on this summer.

Hair
June 14-17, 21-24
HAIR puts rock music and the free-spirited culture of the 60s on the stage. Phenomenal musical numbers include "Aquarius," "Good Morning Starshine," "I Believe in Love," "Hair," "I Got Life," "What a Piece of Work is Man," and "Hippie Life." This show has vitality, timelessness, and meaning that outlives the late 1960s and early 1970s in America. (Not sure if the nude scene will be included in this production yet)

Blithe Spirit
July 5-8
A spiritualist scorned. A seance gone wrong. A tempermenatl ghost. And a murder. A seance is convened, resulting in an unexpected torent of supernatural activity. Brimful of his celebrated wit, Noel Coward's comic souffle is as delicous and satisfying now as it ever was.

Romeo and Juliet
July 12-15, 19-22
The most classic of love stories--A boy and a girl from two feuding Verona clans fall in love and attempt to transcend their families' history of violence.

Chicago
July 27-30
The John Kander/Fred Ebb/Bob Fosse musical "Chicago" is described in it opening number as a "story of murder, greed, corruption, violence, exploitation, adultery, and treachery--all those thing we hold near and dear to our hearts." "Chicago" is a musical that is a parade of highly creative Broadway showstoppers that eeach make a satiric point about the American judicail system. Featuring the memorable hist "All That Jazz," "Mr. Celllophane," and "Razzle, Dazzle," this production is a sure-fire hit!

All performaces start at 7:30. Just let me know if you want to go, I can get some pretty good deals for you.

Baseball's Back!!!

I don't know if you can tell, but the guy in the picture is Johnny Damon (WHAT A BABE!!!). I love the Twins and the Red Sox! Yeah, they're both cool. It's opening night, and it's the Red Sox vs. Yankees (BOOOOOOOOOO). Yankees are winning right now, 4-1, in the 6th. I love Johnny Damon, he's so cool (Millar's cool too). There's just something about him. Twins open tomorrow (I think), and I think they play Seattle. Yay!

Anyways, what an absolutely boring weekend I've had! Friday, I got off work an hour early. That was probably the most exciting thing that happend. I went to a movie with some friends, they said that we were going to "The Wedding Date," but we didn't see that. (I hate scary movies) We went and Saw "Hide and Seek," it was scary and dumb. Grrrr!

Saturday was pretty boring. I worked on homework all day (not really, but for about 3 hours). I went to Kmart and Sun Mart, got some food. I watched SNL last night, it was a repeat, but I've never seen that one. Topher Grace hosted, and The Killers were musical entertainment.

Today, I went to the library at 1 and left around 5. I went to Queasy (formerly Kise, our eating establishment) for supper, wasn't very good. So then I went to Quiznos with a friend. It was my first time ever being there, I had a tuna sandwhich. I like Subway better, but it wasn't bad.

Talk to y'all later!
