Picture of the week 6/30

I NEED A VACATION!!! This picture was taken by my mom last year in Canada from the back dock of my uncle Jeff's cabin. I really love it up there because it's quiet, peaceful, and there is no electricity. Wierd huh that i don't like electricity. Well I do, but sometimes i just need a break from it. Work is crazy, school is coming to the end of the first session for summer so classes are getting busy (and I should be doing some sort of homework right now, but oh well). I can't wait til August!

Happy belated Birthday Auntie Patsy!

Happy birthday Auntie Patsty! Well, it was actually Auntie Patsy's birthday yesterday, but my computer was out of commision for part of the day so I didn't get a chance to post. But, tonight I called my mom and asked her to send me some pictures...so here they are!

Happy Birthday Grandpa O.

Happy birthday Grandpa! Me and Grandpa on the snowmobile in Cook! I loved going up there and playing on the playground near Grandpa and Grandma's house when I was younger, and I loved snowmobiling, even though I didn't go very often.

2 Pictures of the week 6/23

Well, this week, this is one of my pictures...obviously! My cousin Melissa came up on Wednesday and we went to a concert. We saw a band called Sub Zero, they were really good. We've seen them before, and really enjoyed them. But we were sad because we found out that it was their last show. They put on a fun show, and play mostly country and classic rock. Then Sawyer Brown (top picture) came out! It was so much fun, except for the short people who stood in front of us and insisted on talking throughout the entire show! Grrr...Anyways...These concerts were at the Red River Valley Fair, and as we were about to leave, we spotted the Tilt-a-whirl! We remembered riding that at the Bemidji 4th of July fair when we were younger, so we decided to go on it for old times sake. It was alot of fun, and I laughed and Melissa screamed the whole time. Then we got cheese curds and left. It was a lot of fun.

Picture of the Week 6/16

Hi! Well, I've decided to do something that will atleast ensure weekly entries. I've added a picture of the week. Some of the pictures might be some of mine, and others might be ones I've found on the internet. I'll explain each one.

Well, this seems a little cold. I really hope that the sign is broken and I also hope that the temperature is not Celsius. Anyways, I put this picture up to remind me of cooler temperatures. I don't have air conditioning in my dorm room, so it's a miserable 83 degrees in here right now, and it's only 75 degrees as of the time I am posting this. The weather doesn't look to improve anytime soon, so I am stuck wishing for cooler temperatures, or atleast no humidity, or maybe even a beach and pink lemonade with ice and a straw! But that's it for this week! Look for a new picture next week.

Titles are dumb!

I got this cartoon in my email, I just thought that I'd share with y'all. Not that I'm a big soccer fan or anything.

Anyways...how's everyone's week been going? Mine's been going pretty well, I guess. I got my first anthro quiz back yesterday, and I was pretty excited with that 28 out of 30. I guess reading the books really does pay off. I think that anthro is my favorite class ever! Film on the other hand is driving me crazy! It's a 4 HOUR class! And it's freezing!

I started working nights now at the box office. Right now were showing "Proof." I am going to try to see it sometime either this week or next week, but I've had so much homework, and it's hard to catch up. But I'll get there eventually (maybe). I only have about 3 more weeks of class left to catch up so I better do it soon.

I got my overage check for the summer, which made me really happy. But when went to the bank to deposit it, the bank interior was closed. Which was a problem cause I didn't have any deposit slips. I got done with work at 4, and got to the bank shortly after that. I was pretty mad, but I eventually got over it.

I've been watching the Twins games lately, mainly to give me something else to do besides homework. And they are playing my second favorite team after the twins, the Red Sox! On Tuesday night I was flipping through channels and I noticed that the twins game was on, and it was the bottom of the 12th and the twins were losing. So, my dad's pessimism kicked in and I changed the channel. A little while later I was flipping through channels again, and I missed it! The Twins won! I was so mad at myself, but really excited cause they won, with a grand slam! Then I watched the game last night, and they won again, and they had another grand slam! That's it, I'm not missing any more games! jk

Anyways...I think that's enough for today!

I meant to do this earlier

That last post, that looks like I posted it just a few minutes ago, was acutally meant to be published earlier today. I had wrote that all up during work, but unfortunatley, the internet decided not to cooperate. And I had meant to post it after my 5 o'clock class, but agian had internet problems. These problems have been annoying me for the past couple of days, and I can't figure it out. Grrrr...

Anyways...I chose another new layout. The last one was good, but this new one seems to fit me a little better I think. It's got that whole green thing going on that I like...yah I'm smart, I'm a junior in college!

Yah, I am a junior in college! I now have 68 credits! You only need 64 to be a junior too! That's pretty exciting. So I will be going into the first year architecture classes as a junior, with all the freshmen. Oh well. Anyway, I'll save it for another day! Talk to y'all later!

I'm getting older :(

Top row: I dont' know the first girl, Karen Eisenhower, Shivan Nelson, Jennifer (Bahr) Frederick, Trudy Pommerening, Jaspir Anderson, Me. Bottom row: Mirriam Wager, Melissa Bahr, I don't know her either!

Sorry it's been so long since i posted, but i intend to post more often from now on, cause really, what better do I have to do. Well i'm just kidding, but I do want to post more often. Anyways...

We'll start off with the big news. On June 3, I went to a wedding, dont' worry it wasn't mine ;), but it was my friend Jennifer's. I knew she was engaged for a while, but I haven't seen her since we graduated from high school. It was a very nice and sweet wedding. I came very close to tears during the wedding. It was one of the nicest weddings I have been too, and they were very in love which was sweet to see. We had a fun time at the dance, and me and Trudy were the only ones to polka.

Well, I finished spring semester almost a month ago. I did alot better in classes than I thought that I would do. I got 4 B's and an A. I thought there might have been a few C's in there, but I am very happy with the B's.

On Monday, I started summer classes. I have Anthropology: American Indian Cultures on Monday through Friday from 9:45 to 11:20. It's really interesting and I really like it. I like learning about different cultures, especially one's you dont' hear about every day. And it's a real learning experience to find out how other culters live, and how different things are in other areas, than what I am used to. On Tuesday's and Thursday's, I have History of film from 1 to 5! 4 hours! Ahhh! It's an intersting class. We watch some movies, but we do get the history of them too. Right now we are learning about silent movies and we've watched a few of the earliest. There is a Wurlitzer, which was used during some of the silent movies we watched today. It was pretty entertaining.

I have been working quite a bit so far this summer, but mainly at the box office. We start our next play on Tuesday. It's called Proof. I'm looking forward to seeing the plays this summer. If anyone wants to see them let me know.

Well, I think that's enough for one day. I'll post more often so my future posts wont be as long hopefully. Have a good day everyone!

Edit: Holly told me the girl in the top row is her friend Karissa.
