Canada

I thought I'd start out with a beautiful picture to attract your attenetion. My mom took this off the back dock of the cabin we were at.

On Saturday August, 6, we accidentally slept in 20 minutes, so we were 20 minutes late to get going. We had gone to bed a little bit after midnight, and woken up at 4:20 am, so we were all pretty tired. When we finally got on the road, we couldn't go too fast because the trailer was unbalanced, so for most of the way, we actually went under the speed limit. We had left our house around 5:20 and finally got to the island around 3 pm, that is one long trip. We were all tired, and I hadn't ate anything since breakfast, and I didn't have much of a breakfast, so I was starving. The first day was kind of rough, but everything was fine the rest of the week.

I burned my back pretty good early in the week, so I spent the rest of my time hiding in the shade. This picture is proof that I tanned. Look at my wrist.

The first half of the week was beautiful. It was perfect for sitting in the sun. But being the chicken that I am, the water was too cold for me, but I did manage to make it far enough in to take a bath. My Aunt came up on Sunday, because she had to stay with my cousin Bob, who broke his foot. He was on crutches the entire week, and he probably won't be off them until christmas. They had to put screws in his foot.

Ok this might sound random, but it's funny. One night beans were cooked for supper. So Jake, the youngest one there, gets a huge plate of beans and sits down on a bench. Well, the bench wasn't very stable, so he flipped over backwards, and lands on the beach. The beans that were in his lap, now covered his stomach (these were hot beans), he gets up quickly, yells "beans," and dives into the lake. It was pretty funny, we didn't want to laugh about it, because he can be sensitive sometimes, but we couldn't help it, it was too funny. He had little "bean burns" the rest of the week.

Fishing went really well, and we got several good meals of fish. There was also a moose sighting, I do have some pictures of it but I'll have to get them up later.

Here are just a few random pictures:

Look out Canada, Here I come...

Howdy all! Well, I am officially on vacation from work, and wont be back for about 2 weeks. I will enjoy my first day of vacation be cleaning my dorm room. Exciting huh? Most of my things are packed and ready to be shipped off to my new dorm, I could build a fort with the boxes in my room. I am almost packed for Canada too, I just have to do some laundry, then everything will be set. I am so excited. No TV, computer, internet, or electricity of any kind. Its just like paradise. I still have classes right now, but Tomorrow is the last day, and I have a test. The test shouldn't be terribly difficult, so I'm not worried. My prof didn't give us any homework, so now I have nothing to do but clean and do some laundry. (And my practice my typing, I keep messing up, but hopefully I caught all the misstackes.) Hee hee.

I went to Barnes and Noble the other day to get some books for vacation, since I have read most of the books I own, and I wanted something new. I found three new books that I'm pretty excited about. I found Jackdaws by Ken Follet (Auntie Patsy let me borrow pillars of the earth by the same author, and I really enjoyed it), The Givenchy Code (similar to the Di Vinci Code, which I just finished), and Idiot by Johnny Damon (the baseball player, he plays for the Red Sox, and he will be my husband one day). I'm looking forward to reading all of the books on the beach, while tanning.

Talk to you all latter! Have a fun week or two! Bye, bye, bye!

Edit: I just found this on MSN in the gossip section:
As Renée Zellweger and Kenny Chesney quietly close in on their three-month anniversary, they're being treated to the media's traditional gift for the occasion: rumors of a rift in their whirlwind romance.
Reports are circulating that the newlyweds will soon buy a one-way ticket to splitsville. The London Daily Mail posits that they've spent oodles of time apart since their surprise May 9 nuptials in the Virgin Islands, and the Star alleges, among other things, that they've been having "petty quarrels" over the décor in Kenny's Nashville mansion, which Renée supposedly finds "plain and gloomy." But a friend of the perma-hatted country-star dismisses the implosion talk, pooh-poohing to the New York Post, "Oh, please. Renée is researching a role for her new movie as a blind violinist and Kenny is in the middle of a sold-out tour. Just because they aren't everywhere hanging all over each other doesn't mean there is a problem."
As for the purported décor debate, another insider adds to the paper, "They haven't even had time to decide where to live."
