It's been awhile...

Ok, are you happy uncle Tom? I finally updated my blog. Anyways, sorry that it has been so long, I just found some time and some patience to update.

This is the fish house my dad and uncle Jeff built for my grandpa Bob. My auntie Lori painted it. It was their christmas present to him. When my grandpa came over for Christmas eve and he saw the fish house, it brought tears to his eyes. It made me feel good to know that he really apprecitated this, and got such a nice present. He was so excited, and he couldn't wait to fish. My dad and uncle put it out on Lake Bemidji on Monday, and they tried it out some, but didn't catch anything.

I got my grades for last semester in, and I'm pretty proud of most of them. I got 3 A's, a B, and a C. I'm happy with the B's. I can't wait to start next semester, because I have no Friday classes.

I am happy to be home. I left on the 16th after work. I was pretty nervous about going in the ditch again, so I took my time. The roads were fine until Detroit Lakes, and they wern't the best all the way to Park Rapids. But my dad met me in Park Rapids, and I followed him all the way to Bemidji. I was still nervous because it was dark, but the roads were fine the rest of the way home.

Christmas was pretty good for me. I am very happy with what I got. I now own all the family guy DVD's. I love that show, because it is just so dumb that it is funny. I also got Star Wars on DVD, and an awesome new playstation game: NHL 2K6. I have been addicted to that game since I got it. I am doing pretty well, I've only lost 1 game out of 23 so far.

Well that's about all that I can think of right now, hopefully this will keep you all interested for about another month. Until then...Have a happy new year!

Another addiction

Ok, I have too many addictions, but I hope that they are more healthy than anything, or atleast somewhat healthy. I have several addictions: American Choppers, Harry Potter, Star Wars, Music. Now my newest addiction is hockey, I am a hockey fan. I know, some of my friends from high school probably would'nt believe it because I used to hate hockey. I love watching the FM Jets. They totally rock! So what if they have not won a single game that I've been to, but they are so much fun to watch. I even have they're schedule posted on the back of my door, and I try not to miss a home game. I don't know what I'm going to do for 3 weeks without them. I'll survive. http://www.fmjuniorhockey.com/

Looks like the snow is here to stay!

This is the sight I was greeted by when I got back to Moorhead after thanksgiving break.

I didn't get to spend thanksgiving at home because I had to work, but I left for home on Friday (after Thanksgiving) after work. The drive home went fine, so all was good. I had a nice weekend with my parents, and got some pretty good chicken, so I was excited. I caught up with my cousin Melissa, whom I haven't seen since August, so that was also exciting.

Anyways, Sunday came along. When I was getting ready, my parents told me that I had to leave early because it started raining. I was angry about leaving early, but I left as soon as my laundry was done, about 1:30 ish. The roads were really icy, so it was pretty slow going. Well, when I was about 20 miles from Park Rapids, the roads were complete ice. I was coming around a corner, and I came up behind a car that was going too slow, so I didn't have enough time to slow down, so I went into the ditch. I felt so dumb, but it was the only thing that I could think of. I tried to get out but I'm such a big baby about my car that I couldn't. I had noticed two cars parked on the side of the road about a little bit behind me, so I started walking, hoping someone would be there. When I got close, two men got out of the car, and one of them let me use thier cell phone because I had no service. I got hold of my mom and told her what the problem was, and she sent my dad and uncle to pick me up. Well, It got to be about 3:30-4:00, and my dad wasn't there. By that time a sanding truck had came by, followed shortly after by another one, so one of the guys left. There were a bunch of people in the ditch and two guys were trying to pull others out, but I wasn't sure how expierienced they were with getting cars out of the ditch, so I told them that my dad was coming, cause I didn't want them to ruin my car. But about 4:30 a tow truck came along and he drove my car out of the ditch, boy did I feel dumb. He said that the plows that had came by were stuck in the ditch and some people had been waiting 45 minutes. Well I turned around, and headed for home. I was stuck on one side of the snowplows and my dad was stuck on the other, there was a huge traffic jam. I waited for about a half hour for the line to move and it eventually did. A little ways down the road my dad and uncle finally caught up with me, I pulled over in Lake George and my dad drove my car the rest of the way, with my uncle following behind in his truck. We stopped at my uncles house because my dad had left his truck there, but I was too shaken up to drive the rest of the way home, so I left my car at my uncles house. I didn't get home until after 7 ( i think, I don't remember for sure).

Well, to make a long story short (too late, I know), I was stuck at home until Wednesday because the roads were horrible. My mom and aunt drove me back to Moorhead, and I'm really thankful they did. I hate driving. But I lived!

Sorry that was so long.
