I LOVE KENNY!!!

Ok, the concert was way more than AWESOME!!! I don't know if there are words to describe it. I heard of a review that said it was one of the best concerts since Garth Brooks retired. It was so cool. Uncle Kraker was the opening act, and was kinda boring. I only knew a few of his songs. The the awesome GRETCHEN WILSON came and performed. She is so cool. She performed some new songs that she is working on, and and played a song that she will be singing with Merle Haggerd (I don't know how to spell his name). She showed off some pictures of her little girl, who is incredibly cute too.

Then Kenny came up. It started up with a light show. There were curtains covering the stage, so I couldn't really see anything. Then they started up with "Keg in the Closet" and they drop the curtains. But Kenny wasn't on stage. So he starts singing, and I still couldn't find him. Someting catches my eye from the middle of the dome, and it's Kenny, he's suspended over the crowd, and moving towards the stage. It was so cool! I heard of a review that said that this concert was one of the best since Garth Brooks. Later in the show he pulled up a scared little girl on stage and started dancing with her. I'm jealous! I can't wait to see him again!

My weekend in Winnipeg

By the "i" is Natalie, the "o" is Cassie, the "b" is Molly, and the "a" is Alissa. (I took the picture)

Wow, what a fun weekend. In case you didn't know I went to Winnipeg this weekend. We left on Friday at about 11 am, and drove a long, long way to Canada. There is absolutely nothing to look at the entire way. We joke that we could see Minnesota, California, Texas, and the North pole all at the same time. There's no trees. We didn't have any problems at the border, and it was kind of a culture shock to some of my friends, they've never seen the metric system being used before. But we made it to Winnipeg fine. We got there during rush hour, that was crazy. It took a while to get to our hotel, because of the traffic. We saw about 50 A & W's (I swear there's one every 100 feet, same with McDonalds). We pulled up to the hotel, the Howard Johnson Inn, and it looked awful. The front wasn't painted and the back still had the old colors on it (they were remodeling). The back had pink tiles and tan bricks (it was ugly), and we were worried about what our rooms would look like. So 2 of my friends went to check in, and when they came back to the car to get our stuff, they told us that the room looked awful. I was fearing the worst, but when we got in the room it was awesome. It was huge! (For a hotel room) there was so much space. It was pretty neat, we had a fridge and a microwave, and a coffemaker. We got settled in, and we wanted to call one of the clubs we thought we might venture out to, but the phone didn't work. That was crazy. They came and fixed the next day. We ate Domino's and sat around for a while. At around 10:30, we went to the Club in our hotel. It was a country club, but they didn't play all country music. They had an actual live band, it was so cool. We danced to a few songs, and since all of us are single girls, we checked out the cowboys that were there, and the cute security guards.

On Saturday, we took our own tour of Winnipeg, my friends wanted to find Chinatown. We had to go through downtown to get there. Those were the biggest buildings I've ever seen, my friends were laughing at how amused I was with the height of the buildings. It was so cool. So, we were looking for chinatown, but the road kept going on, and we kept getting farther and farther from where we thought we were supposed to be. We ended up in a small town on the outskirts of Winnipeg, before we realized we went to far. So we drove back and did end up finding Chinatown, but my friends were disappointed when the found out it was only about 2 blocks. So we went back downtown, and ate at a mall, they had a good Pizza place there. I bought a T-Shirt at the mall, it's pretty cute it says: "Canada Eh?" Then we were gonna go and look for the club we wanted to go to that night, but we ended up getting lost, there were to many one ways, and my friend accidentally turned the wrong way, and got pretty upset, so we went back to the hotel and took naps. We ran across the road to the Coop for supper, it wasn't the best. Later that night we went to Club 3D because it was Kareoke night, and my friends wanted to sing. It wasn't a very exciting place, but my friends did sing (I didn't). We went back to the club from the night before, and listend to the same band. They were pretty good and we had tons of fun.

We left Winnipeg at 11, and headed for home. We stopped at a Subway in Middle of Nowhere Manitoba, and I saw some guys wearing some BSU shirts, but I didnt get a chance to talk to them before they left. I had one of those new toasted subs, it was pretty good. They have some different flavors of chips there, it was kinda odd for me. We got back across the boarder just fine, and got back at about 3:45. Well that was exciting huh?

I'm putting my pics on a website, but my computer is too slow, so I'll get them for you in a few days. Bye for now.

I love ya Ma!

I love ya mom, and I hope that you get better soon! I'll think of you when I'm drinking my Latte! I'll see you this weekend.

Howdy! Not a very exciting week so far. I worked at the box office on Saturday, because there was a play. I saw it on Friday night. It was "Into the Woods." It was kinda cute, but very long. The set was awesome, they had hills and trees all over the stage.

I cleaned my room for like 3 hours on sunday, but I was moving slow so thats why it took so long.

Then last night, I watched the Vagina Monologues. It was interesting, parts of it were funny, other parts were kinda boring. I thought that it would be different than what it was. But there was actually a pretty good message there. The theater it was in was practically overflowing, and I was surprised at the number of guys that were there.

By the way, Uncle Tom, Kenny Chesney is a country singer! I don't know how he hurt himself ok. Just for your information!

OH MY GOD, I JUST MET THE PRESIDENT

Ok, so I'm at work, and I met the President. Not that horrid Bush guy, but the President of MSUM! He's so nice. I didn't recognize him right away, I felt so embarassed. Then I tried to give him complimentary tickets, like I'm supposed to, but he said, that free tickets doesn't pay the bills, and he paid the money for tickets. That's so exciting. But, I'm so embarrased for not recognizing him. Ahhh!

Poor Kenny!!!

Poor Kenny Chesney!!! He tore some ligaments in his knee, so he needs to do rehab. He hasn't canceled his concert, but he delayed them. I was really looking forward to seeing him next Sunday, but I just hope that he gets better. He delayed shows in Green Bay, The Cities, and Fargo. He is still planning on coming though. I'm just a little disappointed. I already got a hotel room, and I already made plans with friends who were also coming to see him with me. He will be in Fargo on March 25 (Good Friday). Luckily, I don't have any classes, but I will probably have to work. I'm gonna try to work everything out with my boss, so I can still see him. Well, gotta go. Talk to you all later!

P.S. Get better Kenny!!
