I'm so bad at this...

I'm so bad at remembering to update...well maybe I'm just lazy. But anyways, I thought that I'd let you all know about my weekend.

Well I guess I'll start with last week. It was a busy week for me, I had a to give a group presentation on Monday which went really well, I think. Then Monday night consisted of studying for the two test that I had on Thursday, I wanted to get started early because I had alot of other things to do, including writing a report and drawing about 5 different things for my environmental design class. I continued working on this on Tuesday, taking a break to watch the season premier of NCIS (if you don't watch that show, you really should) and going to the burning of the "M". It was homecoming week, and the buring of the "M" is one of the few things I do during homecoming week. Basically we light a giant "M" on fire on the football field, it's pretty fun.

Then Wednesday was my birthday, I finished all my homework at work that morning so I had the rest of the night to myself. After class I went out to Applebees with a few friends for dinner, and that was pretty fun, the waiter kept giving me a hard time for being 21. It was kind of funny.

Thursday, I had 1 of my two tests, because the other one ended up being a take home test. I did alot better than I expected on the test, so I'm pretty excited about that. I had to work at the box office that night because we had a show going on.

Friday, Alex came up! He got here about 12:30 and he walked me to class since I had a class at 1. He just hung around until my class was done and then we just hung out until my cousin, Melissa got to town. We headed to the hotel where Melissa was staying and got ready to go out dancing there. My roommate from last year and one of her friends showed up, and we all went to a barn dance together. My friend Trudy showed up later at the barn dance with her boyfriend, and we had a blast!

I spent the next day shopping with Melissa and Alex. We had a lot of fun. Alex stayed until sunday, and then he left and I was sad. I did get some pretty nice presents though. Trudy gave me my favorite Calvin Kelien perfume: Euphoria! I was pretty excited! Alex also gave me some really nice presents. I got peanut butter (it's a joke between us), Stewie from family guy bobble head, and a 1 GB memory card for my camera. I had a really good weekend, and I am looking forward to seeing Alex again in a month!

Well talk to y'all later!!! Go Twins!

Happy Birthday to me!

Well I'm finally 21. Not that I feel any different...but oh well, it's my birthday and I'm going to enjoy it!

I just thought that I would put up some random pictures of me, and Holly, and my dad...just because.

The top picture is of me and Holly playing ballerina in our living room, fun times.
The second picture is of me and my Pa.
The third picture is of me at Grandpa and Grandma O's listening to the Chipmunks christmas album.
The fourth picture is of me again with my pa behind me, and I think that I'm at Grandpa and Grandma O's again.
The last picture is of me and baby Holly! Ain't she cute?

Howdy all

Sorry about not posting last week, Friday was kinda busy cause I went home, but I'll tell you all about that later. I just wanted to kind of report the gas prices I saw on my way back from Bemidji yesterday morning, these are in order from most expensive to least expensive.

Lake George: $3.12
Osage: $2.54
Bemidji: $2.49
Emmaville: $2.46
Park Rapids: $2.45
Hawley: $2.41
Audobon: $2.39
Lake Park: $2.39
Detroit Lakes: $2.38
Glyndon: $2.37
Dilworth: $2.33
Moorhead: $2.33

Since yesterday, gas prices in moorhead have gone down even more. On my way to class at NDSU this morning, I saw one gas station was at $2.25, and on my way back another was at $2.23!

Anyways...have a great week everyone!

Updates

Well due to my love of all things in beta, I have updated to Blogger Beta, or whatever its called. Some of you may not understand this, so I appologize. I also have Hotmail Beta and Windows Live Messenger. I'm a dork, I know. But the beta versions look so much neater, trust me.

Also, in case you didn't notice I updated my blog again. Change is good, and I got bored with the old color scheme. I just wish that blogger had better templates.

I know that I have not posted my canada pictures yet, but I'm just being lazy. It's not like I have homework 24/7 yet (that comes in the second-fifth years of architecture and being in the studio all the time, then the three year internship). I'll get them on a website soon though, I promise. Well, y'all have a good day!

Pictures of the week 9/1

Well Auntie Patsy, I did it. I went to the Fargo Theatre!

Last night I went and watched a documentary at the Fargo Theatre called "Sketches of Frank Gehry." The pictures are of the Guggenhiem Art Museum in Bilbao, Spain. My breath was taken away when the images flashed on the screen. Frank Gehry has such a wonderful imagination and a great eye for detail. He is very creative and is not afraid to create something bold. The inside of the musuem is just as beautiful. I know that some people may not like this museum, but the fact that it's so different and looks so technical just amazes me. If you ever get a chance you all should definatly check it out "Sketches of Frank Gehry."
